As Nightmare walked to the barn with Zook, he realized it was an old barn. As he looked at the grass, it swayed, but then it moved forward. Nightmare cast control water and froze the ground around the grass. Four orcs slipped on the ice and came sliding down. Zook attacked with a telekinetic shove, but was caught off guard and shoved to the ground. Nightmare waved his hands and summoned a hawk made of blinding light while freezing one of orc’s legs, then Mondu and his clones came. Mondu threw a potion killing the orcs while Nightmare shot a witch bolt at the last one.
As they returned to the town’s mayor, a woman named Doctor Shaw walked up to the group and said, “I want to hire you. Your job will be to destroy the orcs’ settlement.”
As Nightmare changed his shape to talk to orcs, he yelled “hey” to the orc in Orcish – well, at least he thought he said it in Orcish. The orc yelled hey back to Nightmare and motioned for him to come over. As Nightmare moved out of the corner of his eye, he saw the rogues sneak behind the buildings and the flash of the ice weapons in the hands of Mondu’s clones. Out of nowhere, Zook came charging at an orc and cast a thorn whip at it. The orc dropped to the ground dead. The mutant beast attacked Zook, but Nightmare cast a witch bolt at it. The beast hit the ground steaming. An orc ran to wake the beast up while Mondu summoned an orc to attack another orc and order his clones to attack. The orc slapped the beast to wake it up but killed it instead. The other orc threw a spear at the orc then it was massacred by Mondu’s orc. The wizard orc roared and then two of the same mutant beast charged at Mondu’s clone, but were killed. Nightmare grabbed the wizard’s orc staff and flushed a bling light through the staff. The orc then shot a fireball, but a hand appeared and threw it back at the orc, killing it. The wizard’s orc’s last words were, “The tears shall flow.”
Nightmare and his group returned, and Doctor Shaw asked to give them a job to work for her and they agreed, so they stepped into the portal that led to the future.
