Writing

Meanwhile at the Bear Cave…

In this resolution inspired by the "Include Someone" lesson and Cartoon Network storyboard, we learn how inclusion takes hard work and forgiveness.

Level

Grade 2

Type

Narrative, Social-Emotional Learning

This story was written in response to the Include Someone, Make a Difference lesson. Donovan, student from 826CHI, chose to write an inclusive ending to finish the storyboard created by Cartoon Network:

Include Someone Bear Cave Storyboard

Wondering what happens next? Read on to discover Donovan’s inclusive resolution:

…Ice Bear, Grizz, and Chloe go to the store and get some more of the gummies that Panda likes. Next they go to the person who controls the TV schedule and they ask them if they could replay the show that just passed aired. Then Panda can be happy. They say, “Sorry Panda for not letting you watch or waking you up.” Then Panda can eat his gummies on the couch watching his favorite show. His friends watch the show again with Panda. Panda says “I’m sorry. I’m not angry with you guys anymore because you did all this hard work.”
