In this project, alternate universes, crazy scenarios, and compelling characters abound as students take ownership of the science fiction genre and write short sci-fi stories of their own.

Character Development

In this session, students spend time thinking about what makes stories compelling and dig into the genre of science fiction with a flash-story example. After brainstorming about an adventure students want to go on themselves, unlimited by space or time, students design characters fit for the journey.
