Introduction :

What happens when we start from a place of gratitude? Research suggests that a consistent gratitude practice can quite literally rewire our brains for the better (Brown and Wong), allowing us to experience the world with more joy and boosting our overall mental health.

In this lesson, students will use Ross Gay’s “Unabashed Catalog of Gratitude” as a catalyst for a daily gratitude journal.

Suggested timing: Begin the lesson on day one (early in the month), then continue a daily gratitude journaling practice for the rest of the month (with the option to extend as long as you and your students would like).
