Common Core Standards
CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.3.1 Common Core Standards Icon
Write opinion pieces on topics or texts, supporting a point of view with reasons.
CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.3.2 Common Core Standards Icon
Write informative/explanatory texts to examine a topic and convey ideas and information clearly.
CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.3.3 Common Core Standards Icon
Write narratives to develop real or imagined experiences or events using effective technique, descriptive details, and clear event sequences.

Dear educators, parents, and families, Our Write Your Way Writing Curriculum is a flexible, 4-week unit are designed to engage and reconnect students with authentic purposes for writing—to reflect, connect, create, and make a difference. Students will write their way through topics like identity, community, and the positive change they can create by putting pen to paper and sharing their voice.
