Fantasy/SciFiWritingNorah, age ten, loves to draw. She has a younger brother and an older sister. When she grows up, she wants to work at her sister’s cat café.
My IF’s name is Wormie. They are a big, teal worm. Wormie is always happy. They are very funny and cheerful. They are maybe too cheerful at times. They live in a very magical land.
Wormie’s special power is that they can morph. Wormie is the descendant of the Great Bliss Worm, who was in a war between dimensions. Everyone can see them.
I found my IF when I was swimming in Lake Anne. Wormie spends their day chilling and relaxing, adventuring, and playing. Their favorite foods are acid flies, redwood bark, and dream leaves.
My favorite things Wormie and I do together are playing, hugging, and adventuring. They are not afraid of anything. My favorite thing about Wormie is that they’re funny. They want fun and peace more than anything in the world.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
With Paramount Pictures’ latest film IF as inspiration, children around the nation put pens to paper to bring their imaginary friends to life through writing. Together, 826 and Paramount Pictures published three books of youth writing inspired by the upcoming film, starring John Krasinski, Ryan Reynolds, Cailey Fleming, Louis Gossett Jr., Jon Stewart, Awkwafina, Maya Rudolph, and Steve Carell.
