Introduction :

From writer and director John Krasinski, IF is about a girl who discovers that she can see everyone’s imaginary friends—and what she does with that superpower—as she embarks on a magical adventure to reconnect forgotten IFs with their kids. IF stars Ryan Reynolds, John Krasinski, Cailey Fleming, Fiona Shaw, and the voices of Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Louis Gossett Jr., and Steve Carell alongside many more as the wonderfully unique characters that reflect the incredible power of young people’s imagination.

IF is being brought to audiences worldwide by Paramount Pictures, who knows that students are the most creative people around. The studio reached out to 826 to celebrate students’ creativity and imagination alongside the film’s release. This lesson inspired hundreds of students at all nine 826 chapters across the country (San Francisco, NYC, LA, Chicago, Detroit/Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti, Boston, Washington D.C., Minneapolis/St. Paul, and New Orleans) to create their own IF, and to write about adventures they would share. Together, and with the generous support of Paramount Pictures, 826 published these brilliant ideas and stories to create real Big Book of IFs

Now, we invite you and your students to create your own IFs—and to see what stories are inspired from these uniquely magical beings.
