PS You Sound like Someone I Can Trust

Students will exchange letters with students from different classes or schools. By listening to others’ stories and sharing stories of their own, students will practice to read and write with empathy.

A Time for Reflection

Students reflect on how they have been representing themselves in their letters.

Students consider how they’ve been representing their authentic self in their letters, responding to another letter from their partner and continuing to include strong details and a regard for their audience.

What Your Students Will Produce

Students write another letter of correspondence.

  • Post-it notes
  • Paper and writing utensils
  • Optional: markers and stickers
  • Letters from your buddies!

Before You Start

Before you start, make sure that you have delivered the letters you students wrote to their buddies and received the replies from your partner classroom.
