What You Will Do

Like a new notebook, journal writing is full of possibilities: it’s an opportunity for students to brainstorm ideas for future writing and to imagine worlds that don’t exist yet. Journaling also provides students with a dedicated time to reflect on their experiences and to process the world around them. While academic writing is defined by rules and procedures, journals are limitless. Students are not bound by genre conventions, or even full sentences.
