Fantasy/SciFi, NarrativeWritingOne day in a high school chemistry class, the students were doing an experiment. They were making a frog come to life by electric currents. Carla the Witch asked the teacher, Angus the Puppy, if she could use her magic and he said, “Yes.”
When the teacher stepped out to the restroom, Victoria the Manticore—a lion with wings and a scorpion’s tale—said to Carla, “You’re so dumb to use your magic,” and other mean things like, “You’re so nerdy! If you had glasses, you would look so ugly.”
At first the bystanders didn’t know if they should intervene. Then finally Francine the Pink Fish said to Victoria, “Stop! You may need her help in the future.”
“Hey Carla, you should step away and ignore her. While we’re waiting maybe you could teach us some magic, like how to make puppies and a lemonade stand,” Francine said.
Angus the teacher returned and said, “What’s going on?”
Victoria said, “Carla is bullying me!”
Francine stood up for Carla and said, “Stop! You’re saying mean things about Carla.”
Railynn decided to not tell the truth. She stood up for Victoria and said, “Victoria didn’t do anything.”
Francine told the truth, that Carla is being bullied by Victoria.
Angus the teacher said, “We can’t finish until this is solved. You need to tell the truth; that’s very important.”
Then Victoria said, “Sorry, I’m jealous because of Carla’s magic. I should not have called you names.”
Carla said, “It’s okay. I forgive you. I get mad when I can’t use magic either.” Angus said, “Let everyone learn a valuable lesson. When you bully someone, then you miss out on a potential friend.”
P.S. Francine lives in a fishbowl with wheels and a speaker attached for her to talk to everyone.
