Bright Star

Bright Star

Freedom should be a man born free
It should be a world where we can dream, think, speak and act
without being judged
A world where we are no longer ashamed of being Black
No longer in fear of being Black
We should be able to walk the streets not in fear of the cops
The same cops that took an oath to serve and protect
No matter what, being Black is like a bright star in the face of
darkness
Nobody can take another’s freedom
It was given at birth
