What You Will Do

STEP 1

Watch the video and then answer this question in your writing journal: What do you find the most challenging about the revision process? 

STEP 2

Next, you will perform a close-reading of your text and find the areas that need to be developed. Make a copy of the draft you’d like to revise (don’t use your original!) and then follow the steps on page 1 of The Art of Revision — Handout. After you’ve completed the chart, choose the revision topic that needs to be developed and then jump to that step below.
