What You Will Do

LinkedIn is a social media platform for professionals, and writing plays a big role in connecting its users with each other. On LinkedIn, you can write blog posts about important topics in your field or industry, or even reflect about a recent accomplishment. 

STEP 1

First, watch the video. Then, answer this question in your writing journal: “Why do you think it would be helpful to start growing your professional network now?”

STEP 2 

Next, you will reflect on the activities you participate in and identify the accomplishments you’re proud of. Follow the directions on page 1 of the Writing & LinkedIn—Handout to complete this step.

STEP 3

Choose the accomplishment on page 1 you’re the most proud of. Then, follow the directions on page 2 to complete this step.
