About the Author

Darren Walker is president of the Ford Foundation, an international social justice philanthropy. His work has included helping to bring resolution to Detroit’s historic bankruptcy; overseeing Rebuild New Orleans, an initiative following Hurricane Katrina; and creating affordable housing in Harlem, New York. Darren Walker’s commitment to building a better and more just future is unparalleled, with TIME, Rolling Stone, Ebony, and other publications naming him as one of the most influential leaders today.

Life Stories is a 501(c)(3) non-profit media organization that creates and distributes documentaries, interviews, and educational resources about people whose lives inspire meaningful change.
