Zine Making: Writing to Make Change

In this Lesson, students will identify a problem in their community and publish a zine for a target audience to advocate for change.
What Your Students Will Learn

Your students will learn what a zine is, how to create one, and how to use a zine to advocate for change with a target audience in mind.

In this session you will introduce changemakers and zines to your students and get them to start thinking about a problem they would like to solve.
Session 2

Brainstorming, Drafting and Design Elements
In this session students finish brainstorming, decide what information to include in their zine, and start to design the layout of each page.

In this session students will complete their zine and share their work with others.
