In this Spark, students will write an acrostic poem that can be used as a tool to introduce themselves to their classmates.
What Your Students Will Learn

Students will learn new vocabulary words and ways to describe who they are.

What You Will Do

In acrostic poems, the first letter of every line spells out a word that can be read vertically. The resulting poem can be written in many ways: single words that describe the main idea, related phrases, or like a traditional poem with lines that flow into each other. For this acrostic, students will use their preferred name as the base.
