What You Will Do

Before You Start:

To play Elaboration Relay, you will need a slide deck of sample sentences that show strong elaboration. The handout linked in the materials lists the example sentences shared in the directions to get you started. You may want to write your own examples on page 2 of the handout to give more students the opportunity to play the game.

 

STEP 1

Break students up into small groups and give them a quick overview of elaboration in writing. For this project, elaboration means to explain or expand upon a point in more detail.
